Since the launch of Sunoh.fm in September 2008, the Sunoh.fm team has been hard at work in delivering an outstanding user experience. Moving on from private beta and after incorporating early user feedback, Sunoh.fm is now open to registration for all users. Artist profiles and Album Pages are also now open to be consumed by users, without the need to register at Sunoh.fm.

Sunoh.fm has also upgraded the scrapbook to add widget like functionality where users can add videos, songs, and links to their scrap-posts, on both user and artist profiles. Also to add to social discovery and generation of content, Sunoh.fm has now enabled the option for users to be able to contribute to biographies of their favorite artists, while also being able to upload photos, and videos for any artist.

Sunoh.fm today announced the launch of it’s Social Music Discovery Application for Orkut OpenSocial Platform. With this launch Sunoh.fm becomes the first startup to provide a converged application enabling social discovery of Indian music to millions of Orkut users.

With the launch of it’s new application, Sunoh.fm enables Orkut users to discover and share music in a social context. Friends and Music
At its core, Sunoh.fm provides a social networking environment where users can connect with their friends. Users can view music library of their friends, enabling the users to discover new and relevant music in their social graph. Users can also join Fan club of artists they love, post messages on artist’s scrapbook, and favorite the music they like, thus enabling the users to reach out to their artists in a manner never possible before. Sunoh.fm also provides Sunoh.fm-Desktop, a plugin for Windows Media Player enabling users to stream music listening history and share it with their friends. With the aggregated music listening tastes of its users, Sunoh.fm not only delivers comprehensive and accurate information of top music in India but also promotes discovery of new and independent music by employing proprietary algorithms.

Privacy
Sunoh.fm is built to be a private and secure social networking platform. At Sunoh.fm, only a user’s friends can view his/her complete profile, including scrapbook and music listening history. 

Independent Artists
With this launch Sunoh.fm also becomes the first Indian company in online space to provide a digital distribution platform for artists in India. Companies included as part of the launch include Infosys, TCS, Aricent, Wipro, Ernst and Young, Convergys, IBM, Microsoft, and Mphasis. Sunoh.fm team is working on adding more companies and colleges to this list.
